DS Researchers, a Hull-based firm that specializes in tracing beneficiaries to estates of individuals who died without making a will, has been acquired by Daniel Curran’s Finders International, the UK’s largest probate research company.
Curran has been helping individuals trace and claim inheritance for over 30 years, uncovering hidden lottery wins, unknown siblings, life-changing sums, and gangster links, as well as exposing an inheritance fraud that led to a prison sentence. Due to an increase in individuals dying alone without a will, the work of probate researchers has become invaluable to communities and local authorities.
Richard Eglen, director at DS Researchers, commented on the undisclosed deal, stating that the acquisition by Finders International will provide expanded resources to leave no stone unturned in their continuous search for beneficiaries on many cases. The DS Researchers name will be retained, and Eglen will remain with the business, with plans to welcome two more recruits shortly.
