We are thrilled to share that Finders International has proudly taken home two prestigious awards at The Probate Industry Awards last night, Thursday 24th April. The team were honoured with ‘UK Probate Research Firm of the Year’ and ‘Story of the Year’, recognising not only the exceptional quality of our research services, but also the deeply human stories that emerge from our work.
The Story of the Year award was presented for our involvement in the touching case of the late Mabel Ardener and her family. A moving journey of reconnection after decades apart. This story captured the hearts of many, and stands as a shining example of how probate research can do far more than just trace heirs; it can bring people back together, offering closure, answers, and sometimes, a long-overdue reunion.
Speaking on the night, Simonne Llewellyn, CEO of Finders International, reflected on the significance of the awards:
“We’re really proud to have played a part in reuniting a family after so many years apart. We’re grateful to the family for sharing their journey and to everyone who supports this kind of work. Thank you for recognising the value of our work and the stories we bring to light — every case is so much more than just names on paper.”
These accolades are a testament to the dedication, compassion, and diligence of our entire team. While the technical side of probate research demands accuracy and persistence, it’s the emotional dimension – the people behind the paperwork – that truly drives us.
At Finders International, we’re passionate about honouring legacies, preserving histories, and helping families make sense of the past. Whether it’s uncovering long-lost relatives, solving complex intestacies, or sharing the stories of those who came before us, we’re reminded time and again that our work is about far more than inheritance… it’s about human connection.
We’d like to extend our thanks to the judging panel, our incredible team, and, most of all, the families who entrust us with their stories.
