Finders International is now a member of the CPD Certification Service, which means our events will be continuing professional development-accredited from now on.
The CPD Certification Service was set up in 1996 as the leading independent CPD accreditation institution operating across various industry sectors to complement professional institutes and academic bodies’ CPD policies.
CPD is seen as a “holistic commitment of professionals towards the enhancement of personal skills and proficiency throughout their careers”. Today’s world is a fast-moving one, and most professionals recognise that if they want to keep on top of new developments in their industry, CPD is a vital part of that process.
Improvement and effective personal development
CPD takes different forms of learning, such as training workshops, best practice techniques and the sharing of ideas between networks that are all aimed at improvement and effective personal development.
Conferences and events are also included. Finders International runs a number of events throughout the year, most of which are free to attend. They include Deputyship Development days, where those in the public sector responsible for deputyships on behalf of vulnerable clients can learn more about the Court of Protection, the distribution of estates and using probate genealogy to find missing heirs.
Last year, we’ve pivoted to online conferences and events because of the pandemic’s restrictions on public gatherings and continue to host such events. The next event is the PHFIS Hospital E-Conference on 4 February, aimed at providing useful information to hospitals across the UK.
Knowledgeable speakers
Speakers include London Lead Medical Examiner Dr Mette Rodgers, Toby Lee Manning & Aly Dickinson from End of Life Doula UK as well as speakers from Cruse Bereavement Care and Mental Health First Aid England.
Following on from that will be the Care Home E-Conference on 18 February.
Danny Curran, CEO and founder of Finders International said: “Undertaking CPD ensures that practical qualifications do not become outdated or obsolete, allowing professionals to continuously upskill themselves.
“Here at Finders International, we have always encouraged our own staff to take advantage of all continuing professional development opportunities. Many of the people who work for Finders are members of the National Association of Paralegals and the Association of Professional Genealogists, so that we can demonstrate our commitment to professional standards to those who use our services.
